Who is Wade County
‘Dade County’ is the original name of an area in Southern Florida which was renamed ‘Wade County’ , July 2019, after the great Dwyane Wade, a professional NBA player for the Miami Heat. Wade has been an outstanding professional basketball player since 2003. During the years of his fame he has shown his loyalty to the Miami Heat even after the years 2016-2018 when he played for the Cleveland Cavilers and Chicago Bulls, but he came back home to Miami to finish off his career in 2019.

From The Ground Up
As a child, Wade grew up on the South Side of Chicago. His parents were divorced and his mother suffered from addiction and was struggling to stay out of prison and his father lived with a girlfriend. It was his father who moved the family out of Chicago and into Robbins, IL. As a child he was faced with temptations such as drugs and gangs but he turned to the court and maintained his focus on sports. His sister was a huge influence in leading him in the right direction.
Wade attended Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn, IL and this is where his path to being one of the greatest in NBA history started. During his high school career he received offers from Depaul, Illinois State and Marquette University. These were his only three offers because he struggled with maintaining good grades because he always put a ball in his hand before a pencil.
Wade made the decision to attend Marquette University to pursue his career in basketball up until the year 2003 when he decided enter the NBA draft.

Career for Wade? No It’s A Lifestyle
Aside from Wade’s outstanding performance on the court his performance off the court was just as amazing. He often states his greatest blessing was becoming a father to his four children Zaire, Zaya, Xavier and Kaavia. Although Wade has won 3 Championships as a professional athlete, it will not compare to the excitement and accomplishment of being a father in his eyes.
